Strawberry Valley Inn ( 530-926-2052) Charming,  historic inn; very nice ambience; cozy community area with fireplace; generous continental breakfast; before I moved to Mt. Shasta, this was my favorite place to stay when I came here.

Angel Cottage , 530-859-0197, [email protected] , With a full view of the mountain on your private deck where you will find a sauna for your private use.Has a kitchen: fridge,  2 plug in burners and all supplies you need. Has a queen size bed and a couch that pullout into a bed. In a quiet neigborhood about a mile from town or a drive up the mountain.  $133. per night + $40. Cleaning fee

Summit Lofts (www.thesummitlofts.com, 530-691-8986), Downtown boutique hotel; just opened a couple years ago, so everything is modern and new, great coffee shop downstairs.  Within 2 blocks of nice restaurants, great health food store, shops

Shasta Inn ( 530-926-3411)  offers rustic elegance, great views, and newly remodeled lounge with restaurant/bar; suites, cabins, kitchenettes available; located in Mt. Shasta City with restaurants, coffee shop a short walk away.
